This is a full-time role for a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) Technician at Advanced Telecom Systems. The Field Technician will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the cable pulling, device termination, site surveys, system commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing of cellular and public safety systems.

Experience in the installation, maintenance, and testing of cellular or public safety DAS
Knowledge of iBwave design software and RF data collection
Basic understanding of carrier coordination and public safety code requirements
Ability to conduct physical site surveys and perform system commissioning
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and follow given instructions
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
Certifications in related fields such as DAS or RF engineering are a plus
Travel will be required often

Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in QuickBooks for database management and reporting.
Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
Knowledge of public safety BDA/ERCES and cellular communication systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for the construction industry.
Familiarity with Fieldwire, Bluebeam, or marketing software (preferred).
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks under tight deadlines.

As a Senior RF Engineer, you will apply your extensive expertise in both cellular Distributed Antenna System (DAS) and public safety Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA) systems to design, optimize, and deploy cutting-edge wireless communication solutions. Your role encompasses RF system design, performance analysis, and troubleshooting to ensure robust connectivity for both commercial cellular networks and mission-critical public safety systems. With a strong grasp of permitting processes and code compliance, including NFPA and IFC standards, you will ensure all installations meet regulatory requirements. Collaborating with project managers, field crews, cellular carriers, and clients, you will oversee seamless system integration, validate performance, and secure necessary approvals, delivering reliable, high-quality solutions that enhance both public safety and cellular communication networks.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5-7 years of RF engineering experience, with 3+ years in cellular DAS and public safety BDA system design, deployment, and optimization.
Proficient in RF design tools (e.g., iBwave, PCTEL, Windcatcher).
Expertise in cellular technologies (4G LTE, 5G NR) and public safety systems (P25, FirstNet).
Knowledge of public safety BDA systems and compliance with NFPA 72/1221 and IFC standards.
Experience with RF testing equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, signal generators) and system commissioning.
Familiarity with permitting processes and code compliance for telecom and public safety systems (local, state, federal regulations).
Proven ability to estimate, manage projects, coordinate with teams, and deliver within scope, budget, and timelines.
Strong verbal and written skills for collaboration, technical reports, and documentation.
iBwave Level 1/2, FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License, NICET, or Professional Engineer license (PE) - preferred.
Ability to work in field environments, including travel, site surveys, and inspections in various conditions.
Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex RF issues and ensure system performance/reliability.
